Interstellar Review
http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/11/10/love-physics The website summed up perfectly how the film separates normal citizens from the "geeks". The plot begins in a future distophia on a farm in the midwest where resources are depleting and the only solution lies in leaving earth. After years of being hidden Nasa finally has began to launch an explorer to search for a planet able to sustain life. The New Yorker also points out a softer message that the earth might be dying but love will triumph, very unusual for a Christopher Nolan film.
My experience with the film was great to begin with, I walked into AMC's newly renovated theater, grabbed a big bucket of pop corn and reclined my chair. The film was easy to follow in regards to leaving earth and looking for sustainable life. Once Cooper, the main character had entered the black hole I felt like they should have just ended with a death rather than a weird hero's welcome on a artificial planet concocted by society. Overall I thought the movie was a little too sci/fi for my interests.
